Contributions may consist of:

• original articles on any aspect of the interrelationships between information technology, education and society
• accounts of research into any aspect of the interrelationships between information technology, education and society
• speculations about questions ( "What if?;
  Why .....?) related to the sociological and educational implications of using information technology.

Articles would normally be expected to:

• address educational and/or sociological issues related to changing technologies
• make a significant contribution to furthering knowledge
• have relevance for an international readership
• demonstrate familiarity with current literature in the field
• be of any length up to approximately 7,500 words
• be original, and not be under consideration for publication elsewhere
• not have been published in other journals, or be similar to other recently published articles.
  
  

Typescripts should be sent to the Editors in duplicate on A4 paper and typed (double spaced) on one side only. (Manuscript submissions on disk or by e-mail are not accepted.) All pages should be numbered. The contributor's name, title etc., should appear on a separate page to ensure anonymity in reviewing. The house style for the journal is that of the American Psychological Association (APA) style of citation (see, for example, http://www.wisc.edu/writing/Handbook/index.html and the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association, 4th ed.). Tables should be typed on separate sheets and attached to the end of the manuscript. An abstract of 100-150 words should also be typed on a separate sheet of paper. Contributors should retain a copy of their contribution for their own reference. Accepted papers become the copyright of the Journal.

Authors should obtain permission from copyright holders for reproducing any illustrations or lengthy quotations previously published elsewhere.

The authors take responsibility for presenting only original work, for informing and gaining written agreement from all co-authors of the work and for obtaining written permission from the relevant publishers to include any copyright material, for ensuring that the article contains no unlawful or libellous statements, and does not infringe on the rights of others. Authors submitting manuscripts acknowledge in doing so that the manuscript reports unpublished work that is not under consideration for publication elsewhere and manuscripts are accepted by the editors on this understanding.
